THE MAZE RUNNER by James Dashner
Wow. Just wow. At first I didn't think I would get into this book, but I'm absolutely hooked.
The story is based around a boy named Thomas who waked up with no memories. All he knows is how the world works and his name. When he wakes up he finds himself in the Glade with about 50 other guys who can't remember anything either. All they know is that the want to go home. And solving the Maze is the way out. Then a girl shows up. And everything changes.
Dashner defiantly knows how to write. I mean, the last sentence of each chapter urges you on to the next. It was so difficult to put it down. You just want to know what happens next. You think you know what's going to happening, and in some parts you do, but in others, you're thrown for a loop. You never saw that coming.
Absolutely amazing. Until you reach the last chapter. You find those four little words.
END OF BOOK ONE
Now you have to wait for the next one. And I so can't wait. The ending is a huge cliff hanger.
Anyone whose into this kind of story or any SciFi-Fantasy-Fiction-Type book should deffinatlty read The Maze Runner.

Restoring Harmony by: Joƫlle Anthony
Molly is sixteen and living an post-fossil fuel dystopia when she goes on an intercontinental mission to save her family.
While this is not the best book I have ever read, since Forest Born it is the first one that's been good enough for me to bother finishing. It's two major downfalls are it's apparent disregard of one of the first laws of physics, and the somewhat forced romance. That said, the characters are fairly solid, and the plot, though not the most original, is cohesive.

HOLD STILL by Nina LaCour
An amazing slice of life. Just amazing.
A girl loses her best friend to suicide, but her friend leaves her journal behind.
I can't really say anything more than that. This beautifully written story breaks your heart and and puts it back together again, maybe forgetting a piece or too. Either way, you never know what you've got until it's gone.
It's an absolutely amazing book. I have nothing more to say. You just need to read it to know what I'm talking about.

IMPLUSE by Ellen Hopkins
I lied. Out of all of Hopkins stories, this one is most defiantly my favorite. The storyline is just amazing, in my opinion. It takes you through the lives of three teenagers in a psychiatric hospital after failed suicide attempts. It untwists their life stories behind the suicide attempts and the relationships the three have with each other.
In my opinion, the 3rd and 4th pages have one of the best poem like verses in this book. Out of the verses in the story, the ones at the beginning seem to be told by all three of the character, which I like.
Speaking of the characters, their personalities and reasoning so well drawn out that you simply fall in love with them. You feel like you know them, maybe even want to give them a hug... Anyway...
Hopkins throws loop after loop, sending you into... Well, I found it really hard to put the book down. The end should and will blow your mind.
However, I should've wrote this on the IDENTICAL review as well, so I'm sayinng it now. If you don't like the whole teenage struggles and issues thing, then Hopkins book are not for you. If you like that kind of thing or find it interesting and want to get in the heads of those with these kinds of issues, then you should defiantly read them.

IDENTICAL by Ellen Hopkins
This was the first book by Hopkins that I read. I fell in love with her stories afterward. Anyway. Out of all of them, this one is my favorite. Mainly, it's about two twin sisters. One of which is being sexually abused by their father. The other is a trouble maker. You seem to be able to guess how the story will end and how it will play out, but once you reach that point... Boom. Everything changes and you're thrown for a loop. A good loop, too.
The writing takes you through the point of views of both the girls in verse. The one thing i like best about Hopkins stories being written in verse is how the book itself is so thick, but not actually that long. Moving on. If you read one of her books, you'll want to read the rest of them. I know I can't wait to get the newest one.
